The “Land of May” is an event devoted to activities that sustain the local economy.

A huge exhibition of the best that the land produces and humans create, such as Agriculture, Livestock Rearing and Handicrafts, and which include displays of quality produce from the Algarve countryside and the sea, organic produce and the operation of an experimental cheese dairy. Over the two days of the event, the public will be able to see a number of events such as: a Fair of Traditional Products, a Fair of Organic Products, a Competition of Goats of the Algarve Breed, seminars and lectures on Agriculture and Livestock Rearing, the traditional fair of Azinhal, a festival of a traditional and religious nature, gastronomy workshops such as the “Laboratory of Taste”, traditional folk music, traditional games, children’s workshops, donkey rides, falconry, displays on horseback, and much more.
