In addition to being recognised as providing spectators with some of the best value and most accessible rally action, this year’s Vodafone Rally de Portugal also looks to be extremely popular with competitors. No less than 73 entries for the rally have been received, from 32 countries across all five continents, demonstrating the international appeal of the event.
It is also worth noting that the event has the greatest number of entries so far in the 2010 FIA World Rally Championship.
The 2010 Vodafone Rally de Portugal will count towards no less than seven series: WRC (Manufactures and Drivers), S-WRC (S-2000 cars), J-WRC (Junior), Ford Fiesta Sporting International Trophy, Pirelli Star Driver and the Portuguese Championship. The rally features three legs and total distance of 1223.07 km, including 18 special stages covering 355,32 km, almost 30% of the rally distance.
